Old Desert whiz and chuckawalla mama
let the group thru some mighty panorama

thru the life zones up the sierra
south along deep now covered terra

pushed the heads, those made of blocks
up darwin canyon's road of rock

through the panamints, a little daily
then swooshing down to the great death valley

where heads, spinning from ecology
the big idea was earth geology

south across the mohave bobbin
he got horst explainin' graben

onward, onward through we're droppin
artemesia, shadscale, elk and lupine

westward towards the setting sun
to see those h. asimilas run

go to morro and monterey we oughter
to see the otter feed its daughter

point lobos, north and homeward hence

holy mackeral what an experience.

thank you, mr. molina!

"...up North Crater, we find the surface composed of loose fragments of pumice and obsidian -tis beautiful....
the vista of countryside.  Back down...time for a little relaxation in the desert sun... as I bask in the warmth I
gaze at the snow capped Sierra and watch the snow banners as they dance from the summits....their glory is too
grand for me to fathom"

            Suzanne Murray 1973

to the roadless area, because it won't be roadless long.  Too much demand.

The gas pump doesn't know the beauty which it help to see; and so the gas tax pouring out.

And so we push the Big Wheel nearer the edge.  The land of the free and home of the auto dump.
But man was made to wander.                           Dave Harris  1969
